Job Summary

 

Join the Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) as we seek a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to support our NSF I-Corps programs during Spring 2026. This role plays a critical part in program operations, including program setup, communications, meeting coordination and facilitation, data management, travel and expense processing, and other project management functions essential to program success.

As a member of a cross-trained, collaborative team, the successful candidate will report directly to the Director of the Great Lakes I-Corps Hub and work closely with dedicated colleagues in a supportive and mission-driven environment.

This position is expected to be full-time (30-40 hours per week) from March through June 2026, with the possibility of continuing on a part-time basis (10-20 hours per week) from July 2026 to December 2026. Responsibilities*

 

Program Management and Coordination - NSF I-Corps Hub: Great Lakes Region

  • Support the day-to-day operations and coordination of NSF I-Corps Hub programs.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the I-Corps Program Team to assess current operations and plan for upcoming program needs.
  • Manage program logistics, including coordination with Teaching Assistants, facilitation of instructor preparation meetings, setup and maintenance of Canvas courses and shared Google folders, administration of course credentials, and maintenance of course rosters within CRM systems and Google Drive.
  • Manage communications with I-Corps instructor trainees and other program stakeholders.
  • Oversee customer discovery expenditures and manage I-Corps-related invoicing.
  • Coordinate logistics for additional I-Corps programming, meetings, and events.

Financial and Administrative Support - Participant Support Centralization Initiative

  • Assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Hub-wide participant expense reimbursement processes.
  • Process purchase orders, travel reimbursements, and PeoplePay payments in compliance with University of Michigan policies.
  • Collaborate with Procurement Services and the Shared Services Center to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payments and reimbursements.
  • Track expense documentation, resolve discrepancies, and support account reconciliation efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of Hub-wide training materials, documentation, and templates.
  • Utilize established University of Michigan and Center for Entrepreneurship systems and processes to support financial and administrative transactions effectively.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in project or program management.
  • Ability to relate to people with diverse backgrounds.

  • Experience with university-based systems and processes.

Modes of Work
