Provide research support to other members of the lab, by maintaining human cell culture, performing protein purification, recombinant DNA cloning, plasmid miniprep, PCRs and other molecular biology and biochemical experiments.

Routine lab maintenance, including but not limit to ? receive shipments and keeping inventory. Prepare and keep lab common stocks (buffers, antibiotics, LB plates), dish washing and autoclaving (bottles, tubes, tips, etc.), properly dispose wastes, help with compliance with U of Michigan regulations.

HS Diploma or Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree preferred in Biology or a related discipline, with at least 1 years experience in a laboratory setting. Accurate record-keeping, scientific rigor, and attention to detail are essential along with the ability to communicate, interact, and work closely with others. The successful applicant will be a motivated, ambitious person looking to advance their training and career in research.

Bachelor's degree in biology, or related field, with 1 years of experimental laboratory research experience. Demonstrate experience training and mentoring undergraduate students
