The newly established research lab of physician-scientist Dr. Ameer Elaimy in the Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Michigan, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to explore the tumor microenvironment, cancer stem cells, metabolism and experimental therapeutics in liver cancer.
Qualified applicants will have experience in cellular and molecular biology. Experience in mouse modeling in cancer and flow cytometry is also highly desired. The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan has pioneered preclinical radiosensitization strategies that have directly translated to clinical trials for over 35 years, which was recently ranked No. 6 in the nation. Our very close integration of biology and clinical treatment facilitates the ongoing development of new therapeutic strategies in combination with radiation and their translation to clinical trials.
