Job Summary

 

Perform a variety of simple manual labor functions. This position may require traveling on and off campus using University vehicles.  Must have a valid Michigan drivers license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities*

 
  • Receive packages and freight from incoming shipments
  • Pack and unpack boxes
  • Set up and take down tables and chairs
  • Pull weeds
  • Manually transport boxes, equipment and furniture
  • Rake, sweep and remove debris
  • Collect and transport waste materials
  • Shovel snow
  • Assemble, disassemble or move equipment or fixtures
  • Move through campus testing ADA openers

Work Schedule

 

The anticipated hours worked weekly will be 20-30 hours.  

Modes of Work

 

Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence.  Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
