The Department of Emergency Medicine invites highly motivated and skilled Research Specialists to join the dynamic Greineder lab at the North Campus Research Complex (NCRC). The Greineder laboratory is a leader in the pharmacology of post-menopausal osteoporosis and other musculoskeletal disorders, having recently patented and published several novel technologies for bone-targeting of small molecule and biotherapeutics. These approaches enhance bone exposure, reduce off-target toxicity, and increase therapeutic efficacy in rodent models. The work has been funded by the NIAMS and spun out into a company, Skeletalis, Inc., which recently completed a successful round of seed fundraising. Our projects are translational, emphasizing intellectual property creation and clinical application, as well as scholarly output. Our lab is a member of the BioInterfaces Institute and fosters a highly collaborative and innovative research environment with ongoing projects with established laboratories at the NCRC and beyond. We're looking for passionate individuals with experience with rodent surgery who have an interest in drug development, musculoskeletal biology, and women's health disorders.
