The Engineering Center for Academic Success (ECAS) serves the College of Engineering community by providing learning support and holistic academic-oriented support services to students, by managing the administrative processes of the Scholastic Standing Committee (SSC) to uphold the academic standards and guidelines of the College as defined in the College Bulletin, and by managing the Honor Council process to maintain ethical conduct within the College community.
To strengthen student retention, graduation, and holistic well-being, we are hiring two full-time Academic Coaches who will report to ECAS and work in close partnership with the College of Engineering C.A.R.E. Center. The Academic Coaches will provide proactive, customized support to various groups of students including, but not limited to, students on academic probation, students from marginalized populations who may experience academic barriers, transfer students, and students referred by faculty, academic advisors, and C.A.R.E. Center staff.
