Perform spatialomics and single cell experiments using animal and human tissue across various platforms, including the 10x Genomics suite of instruments, expanding to additional related workflows in the future. Responsibilities include sectioning, staining, and imaging frozen or fixed tissue, antibody optimization, cell isolation, assay processing, and instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Under direction of Single Cell and Spatial Assistant Director, optimize existing protocols to improve data quality, identify platform weaknesses and potential problems, and troubleshoot solutions for existing single cell or spatialomics workflows within the Advanced Genomics Core. Evaluate new technologies, provide recommendations to core leadership regarding adopting new platforms, onboard new ancillary equipment, and assist in establishing novel workflows when implementing new single cell or spatialomics assays.
Work with the Single Cell and Spatial Project Manager to plan and execute experiments. Assist in educating users regarding technology and equipment capabilities, operations, limitations, and outcomes. Document client requests, communicate sample quality, assay parameters, and sample performance.
