Prepare samples for spatial transcriptomics experiments on animal and human tissue from client-provided samples. Perform project specific techniques using instruments of advanced technologies including 10x Genomics Visium and Xenium platforms, expanding to additional related platforms in the future. Responsibilities include embedding, sectioning, staining and imaging frozen or fixed tissue, primarily with H&E and DAPI. Tasks may include but are not limited to inventory management, quality assessment, and efficiency enhancement.
Perform wet-bench techniques including recovery cryopreserved cells, cell viability assessment, cell/nuclei counting, assay processing, or others, while assuring that samples meet core quality requirements for further sample processing.
With direction from the Single Cell and Spatial Project manager communicate with clients regarding sample quality, performance, and assay parameters. Document client requests electronically in LIMS and/or MiCores. Communicate with other core facilities relevant to the analysis of spatial and single-cell specimens.
