Center for Campus Involvement Overview
The Center for Campus Involvement (CCI) is a dynamic, student-focused department that serves all undergraduate and graduate students through programs, student organization administration, and learning and development. Through meaningful involvement, CCI creates transformative experiences, a vibrant community, and lifelong memories for University of Michigan students. CCI recognizes and supports over 1,700 student organizations through education, advising, advocacy and services. CCI also implements hundreds of social, educational, and cultural programs each year, focused on building community within and beyond University Unions' facilities.
University Unions Overview
University Unions drives community building and belonging through the integration of its three student union facilities (Michigan Union, Michigan League, Pierpont Commons), Center for Campus Involvement, Campus Information, meeting/event spaces, retail food, bookstore and other services to support student success. UU works in close partnership with Palmer Commons, an academic meeting facility, Conferences & Event Services and Michigan Dining to provide student-focused and customer-oriented service to the campus.
Position Summary:
The Program Advisor provides guidance, support, and learning development opportunities to over 1,700 student organizations, overseeing the new organization process at the University of Michigan as part of the Student Organization (SO) team at the Center for Campus Involvement (CCI) in University Unions. Reporting to the Lead Manager for Student Organizations, you will oversee the learning and development portfolio for student organizations at the University of Michigan, in addition to the application and educational process for the formation of new organizations. As a member of the Student Organization team, you will also support the management of the IdeaHub, a one-of-a-kind 12,000 sq ft coworking and collaborative space designed exclusively for student organization leaders, featuring meeting rooms, dance and movement studios, and a creative art studio space. You will supervise 2 graduate interns and 6-8 undergraduate peer advisors.
