Job Summary

 

The School of Public Health (SPH) Environmental Health Sciences is hiring an LEO for the Winter 2026 semester for instruction in the EHS 655 course titled Human Exposure Analysis. The course is a component of the departments required residential courses (MPH, MS students primarily). By course description, the course focuses on statistical analyses of human exposures and will apply these skills to an actual dataset containing exposure, biomarker, and health outcome data. They will also develop skills for understanding, interpreting, and communicating exposure information and for identifying and communicating evidence-based risk management recommendations.

 

Responsibilities*

 

The position requires teaching 1-2 days per week (a 3-credit course) for 3 hours throughout a 16-week semester. In addition, office hours 1 hour per week is required. Course syllabus and course material preparation, coordinating guest lectures (if any) and course support, assignment development and grading, and guiding students are included in responsibilities. Class meets for three (3) hours per week in person

Required Qualifications*

 
  • PhD in Environmental Health Science OR Industrial Hygiene/Occupational Health, OR related field. 
  • Expertise in environmental exposure analysis, environmental epidemiology, or related fields
  • Experience with analyzing environmental data.

 

Desired Qualifications*

 
  • Prior experience in teaching (or strong interest in teaching) undergraduate and/or graduate level courses.
  • Familiar with Canvas Learning Management System.
