    Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
    Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour

    Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
    Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities*

 
  • Provide expert nursing care to pediatric patients in the multispecialty outpatient clinics. 
  • Provide telephone triage, patient teaching, direct patient care including injections, documentation with follow-up and coordination with ancillary services and related departments. 
  • Provide functional supervision to allied health staff.
  • Assist with patient flow as necessary and appropriate. 
  • Work with licensed providers to develop and carry out clinical standards of care for various patient diagnoses. 
  • Participate as a professional member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Teach patients and families pertinent information regarding the patient condition and treatment plans. 
  • Coordinate infusion therapies. 
  • Assist in orientation of team members as appropriate, including observation and participation of patient care activities. 
  • Actively participate and support performance improvement activities related to self, clinic, department, and institutional goals and objectives. 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Nursing Specific Info

 

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse to practice in the State of Michigan.
  • Minimum of three (3) years recent RN experience within the last five (5) years direct patient care with pediatric patients.
  • One (1) year ambulatory care experience within pediatrics.
  • BLS Certification

Desired Qualifications*

 
  • Telephone triage experience within ambulatory care
  • Certification in ambulatory care nursing (AMB-BC)
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN)

Work Schedule

 

Hours: 40 hours per week, (1.0 FTE)
Days: Day shift; Monday- Friday, with possibility for evenings, weekends and holidays based on clinic needs. Flexibility is required
Location: C.S. Mott Children's Hospital-Pediatric Multispecialty Clinics and other work locations as needed to support patient populations seen in other locations


Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
