Opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team building an ambitious and trailblazing project!
The Michigan Emergency Department Improvement Collaborative (MEDIC, http://www.medicqi.org/) is a statewide quality improvement effort funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan/Blue Care Network with the Coordinating Center housed at the University of Michigan. MEDIC?s vision is to support emergency physicians working together to improve patient care. MEDIC is part of a family of projects called Collaborative Quality Initiatives (CQIs) within the Value Partnerships program (http://www.valuepartnerships.com/), making health care work better across the state of Michigan. MEDIC focuses on care decisions made in the emergency department for children and adults. Working collaboratively with a network of partner hospitals, we leverage the MEDIC data registry with shared knowledge and experience of participating sites to provide timely feedback on quality performance measures to improve the care of our patients through dissemination and implementation of best practices. There are currently over 60 hospitals in the Collaborative with plans to continue expansion annually supported by an infrastructure of the MEDIC clinical data registry hosted by a third-party vendor.
We are seeking a Data Manager who uses their impeccable attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and data administration knowledge to help take MEDIC?s work to the next level. This individual will act as a liaison with our third-party registry vendor and participating hospitals to ensure essential data streams are reliable, accurate, and displayed in an easy-to-comprehend manner. Additionally, this individual will take a lead role in managing MEDIC?s data projects including meeting deliverable schedule planning and coordination. This is a primarily remote position that will require occasional travel to the MEDIC office in Ann Arbor as well as infrequent statewide travel. We are looking for a stellar team member who will embrace our positive and flexible work culture and help us dive into all things data related!
