Assist Occupational, Physical Therapist in preparing their patients for the wound care treatments provided, including setting up the room, the patient for treatment, and cleaning the room after. Under the guidance of an  Occupational and Physical Therapists the Rehabilitation Technician will assist with two person techniques and some modalities including; application of wound care dressings, application of compression dressings, application of total contact casts, assisting with wound vac application, Clerical duties, inventory stock, and equipment maintenance duties. 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and communicate information both orally and in writing is necessary.
• Computer skills and effective verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete regular tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of therapists and patients with different impairments.
• Mechanical aptitude for adjusting and setting up equipment.
• Ability to multi task, anticipate needs and attend to detail is very important
• Experience in a wound care setting or assisting with application of wound care
• Experience assisting with application of Total Contact Casts
  

• Minimum High School graduation, further education desirable
• Prefer candidate to have interestin Occupational or Physical Therapy

This position is full time 40 hours per week at the Ypsilanti Health Center Comprehensive Wound Care clinic. The clinic is open 8-5:00 with some extended hours possible, Monday-Friday. Work hours to be determined.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
