The Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS) leads all public safety functions within the university, including police, security, and emergency management, and offers an integrated approach to safety and security, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. DPSS combines Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint operations to provide students, visitors, faculty, and staff with a safe and secure environment. Through our partnerships across the university and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, we use a blended service model to meet the needs of our community and exceed expectations.
Our Michigan Medicine Security Services department is seeking to fill several Security Officer positions. As a Michigan Medicine Security Officer, you will report to a Security Sergeant.
Salary Information
- The current salary range is $44,491.20 to $55,640.00, depending on qualifying experience.
- Effective 12/21/25, the salary range will be $48,942.40 - $59,550.40, depending on qualifying experience and subject to POAM contractual terms and University polices. This rate reflects the most recent collective bargaining agreement between the University of Michigan and the Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM).
