The University of Michigan is seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to provide language access services in a biomedical and research setting. This is a temporary, part-time position on an as-needed basis. This role will support deaf and hard-of-hearing researchers, participants, and collaborators in a dynamic academic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical interpreting and research settings, including technical and scientific terminology, and be comfortable working in a variety of research and training interactions, such as interviews, conferences, meetings, and presentations. Interpreters are expected to be appropriately credentialed and follow performance standards of the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Code of Ethics.
