Job Summary

 

The Section of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan is seeking a Microsurgeon to join our faculty at the Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor level. The University of Michigan Section of Plastic Surgery is a vibrant, growing practice currently with over 20 clinical faculty members at Michigan Medicine, five clinical fellows, three research faculty, 28 residents and a very large clinical volume (30,000 clinic visits and 4,000 major operations per year). 

Qualified applicants should satisfy the criteria to be appointed as a faculty member with demonstrated excellence in all aspects of our tripartite mission of clinical care, teaching, and research. Clinical care will primarily be delivered at our main campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with potential opportunities for care provision across other sites within the University of Michigan Health network. Teaching will involve the education of medical students, residents and fellows in clinical and didactic settings. The selected candidate will show promise in academic pursuits and in research.

Required Qualifications*

 

Required qualifications include an M.D., board certification/board eligibility in plastic surgery, as well as completion of a microsurgery fellowship, and hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected.
