Job Summary

 

Seeking highly motivated postdoctoral research fellows for a full-time position with knowledge in neuroscience or neurophysiology and demonstrated record of high-quality publications, excellent written and communication skills, and ability to design and perform research in an independent manner.

Responsibilities*

 

Assist the Principal Investigator with ongoing studies related to neuron-glia communication, synaptic transmission, and neural circuit development in neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism spectrum disorder). Assist in the writing of manuscripts, reports and abstracts for presentation at meetings, or publication in scientific journals.  Critically evaluate relevant literatures.  Assist in writing of grant proposals for future related areas of independent investigation.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Ph.D. in neuroscience, neurophysiology, or related discipline.
  • A record of high-quality publications
  • Excellent written and communication skills and ability to design and perform research in an independent manner.
  • Ability to work independently and to manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a collaborative environment.

Desired Qualifications*

 

Experience in in vivo-imaging or -recording, patch-clamp recording, and live cell imaging.

Modes of Work

Background Screening
